Workshop Korea 2015

On August 31st 2015, a group of Danish, Korean and international experts joined forces in an attempt to discuss main photonic technologies leading to sustainable green optical networks. This event was collocated after the CLEO Pacific Conference 2015, and was hosted by the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).

POSTDEADLINE PAPER ACCEPTED AT CLEO-PR 2015

The Metro access group got an accepted post-deadline paper in the  CLEO Pacific Rim 2015 conference held on 27 Aug, 2015 in Busan, Korea.

Paper Title: Optical-domain Compensation for Coupling between Optical Fiber Conjugate Vortex Modes.

By Vladimir Lyubopytov, Anna Tatarczak, Xiaofeng Lu, Ruslan Kutluyarov, Simon Rommel, Albert Sultanov, and Idelfonso Tafur Monroy.

The paper reports on the first experimental demonstration of adaptive optical signal processing to compensate for mode coupling in high capacity optical fiber links using optical vortex modes.

The results presented in this paper are generated in cooperation with the Ufa State Aviation Technical University, Russia.

The workshop will be carried out in Bogotá, Colombia in November 24th and 25th, 2015. The 24th will be held in the Colombian School of Engineering and the 25th at the Universidad del Rosario.

This year our focus will be issues related to science and biomedical engineering, and solutions from telecommunications, photonics and applied mathematics problems of biomedicine, such as image processing, signal processing.

Photonics Workshop 2015 was held March 27th at University of California Los Angeles, California, USA.
